Nuisance E Bike Seized

Officers have seized an electric bike after repeated reports of nuisance riding causing concern for pedestrians and other road users in the Beaver Road area of Ashford.

The rider was found using the e‑bike in a manner that was unsafe and inconsiderate, including riding at speed in public areas where pedestrians were present. Due to the manner of riding and the risk posed to the public, officers used their powers to seize the bike.

We continue to receive complaints about the misuse of e‑bikes and electric scooters, particularly when they are ridden on pavements, through busy town centres, or in parks where people expect to walk safely.
